The Druid, a character archetype popularized in Dungeons & Dragons, borrow certain concepts from Pagan priests, in particular, the priests of Celtic origin.
The concept evolved from there. Druids were first introduced in a setting supplement before debuting as one of the core classes in Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 1st edition. Think of them as a specialized and unique type of Cleric given the power of transforming into animals as well as casting divine spells. They are also easily identified by their distinctive equipment selection.
This gallery showcases the designs of artists all across the globe. Hopefully it will inspire players and Dungeon Masters of any RPG game to create their own Druids.
